The next BASA meeting will be Wednesday Wednesday April 30th, 2008. The meeting will be at the International House of Pancakes, 5403 Stevens Creek Boulevard in Santa Clara (just off Hwy 280). We have the room reserved from 6PM, and the meeting will start around 7PM.

The subject for this meeting will be Preparation for High-Altitude and Long-Duration Flights. Jeremy Zawodny and Wolf Weber will lead this presentation, with demonstrations of oxygen systems, hydration systems, pee systems, clothing recommendations and other items. This presentation is highly recommended if you are planning to attend the BASA Wave Camp, the Air Sailing Thermaling Camp or Cross-Country Camp, fly at Truckee in the summer, or just take some long flights out of Hollister this spring.

February and March Bugles Available

There is no meeting in December. The next scheduled BASA meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 30th of 2008. Have a happy new year!

The next BASA meeting will be Wednesday January 30th, 2008. The meeting will be at the International House of Pancakes, 5403 Stevens Creek Boulevard in Santa Clara (just off Hwy 280). We have the room reserved from 6PM, and the meeting will start around 7PM. Peter Deane will be presenting about flying the Alps in France.

We’ve also revised the flight rules and posted a new copy in PDF format. Several points have been clarified, the 1-34 removed, and the DG-505 added.

The next BASA meeting will be Wednesday August 29, 2007. The main topics for discussion will revolve around membership issues: (i) Should the Sponsor members have additional privileges when compared to Associate members? (ii) Should we have Family memberships allowing spouses, or parents and children, to join for less than the cost of two regular memberships?

We will also discuss plans for the upcoming Panoche weekends in September and October.
